The Eclipse 5145 is a hand-held laser scanner with a single scan line. Equipped with Honeywell's patented CodeGate® technology, the Eclipse 5145 can be used in a wide range of applications. CodeGate® technology allows the user to easily target the desired barcode and complete data transmission with a single button press. This makes the Eclipse 5145 highly suitable for menu scanning, point-of-sale, document processing, and inventory control.

Thanks to Honeywell's advanced scanning technology, the Eclipse 5145 has a longer working range and a wider scan field than a typical CCD scanner. The width of the scan line increases as the scanner moves further away from barcodes.

CodeSense® is a unique feature employed by Eclipse in the absence of infrared object detection. It provides the user with a pulsing laser line for barcode detection. When a barcode is detected, the laser line switches to a constant state to enable scanning via CodeGate®.
